Promptur (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Email address and name when you create an account
- Social media handles if you choose to add them
- Company invite codes you enter
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: prompts viewed, selected, skipped, and recorded
- Device type and iOS version
- App session data and recording activity
- Purchase history for premium packs
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalize the app experience
- To serve relevant prompts based on your activity
- To process in-app purchases
- To improve our content and features
- To communicate with you about your account
Third-Party Services
Promptur uses the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and storage
- Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases
- Mixpanel or Amplitude — usage analytics
Forms on promptur.com (Scorecard and ROI calculator)
When you use the Scorecard or the ROI calculator and ask for your full result, we collect your first name, work email, dealership name and role, plus your answers or the numbers you entered. We use them to send you your result, to reply to you, and to understand which dealerships are interested in Promptur. We keep this information on our own website system. We don’t sell it or share it for advertising.
These forms have a box, unticked by default, that reads “Yes, email me Promptur updates.” We only send you updates if you tick it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any update, or by emailing info@promptur.com. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email info@promptur.com.
Analytics and cookies on promptur.com
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use promptur.com (for example, pages viewed, device, browser and approximate location), and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on every page.
Analytics stays off until you click Accept. We don’t use advertising cookies, and Google signals and ad personalization are off. We remember your choice (Accept or Decline) in a cookie named pmt_consent for 6 months, then ask again.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. Prompt history is retained for up to 30 days to personalize your experience.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the services listed above or as required by law.
Dealerships and other business customers
When a dealership or other business uses Promptur (for example, if you join through a company invite code), that business’s managers can see each licensed salesperson’s activity in Promptur (who recorded, how often and which questions) and the recordings made for the business account.
Who owns the videos: a video a salesperson records on their own phone belongs to that salesperson. The business owns only content made on its own equipment. Promptur claims no ownership of any of these videos; we only have a licence to host and process them to provide the service.
Your Rights
You may:
- Request deletion of your account and data by emailing support@promptur.com
- Update your social handles and preferences in the app Settings
- Opt out of analytics by contacting us
Children
Promptur is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
