About Promptur
Promptur is a video content platform for sales teams. Salespeople get a question written for their store and record and share their answer from the Promptur recording app. We’re based in Toronto, Canada. Stew Stevenson has spent ten years producing business video and founded Social Producers, a business video company. He founded Promptur to help salespeople know what to say on camera.
We work with dealer principals, sales leaders and marketing teams to help their salespeople show up on video, without production budgets or shoot days. We start with auto dealer groups, then insurance and mortgage teams.
Our story
Simplifying and amplifying what teams already do well.
Social Producers made short social videos for local businesses such as insurance agents and realtors. The people on camera knew they needed to be on social. What they didn’t know was what to say, and reading a script from a teleprompter never sounded like them.
So Stew built Promptur around one idea: give people an easy question, and let them answer it in their own words. The Promptur recording app has been on the App Store since June 2026.
Businesses then asked for questions written for their own staff and sales teams. That became Promptur as it is today: a platform where we write the questions for each team, and salespeople record and share their answers.
Businesses already know they need to post. What they need help with is the creation. Their people know their subject and can talk about it well; scripts get in the way. Promptur closes the gap between having something to say and actually posting it.
